About the Artist

Every piece begins with intention.

Maggie

The world moved fast. The lights grew brighter than ever before. Noise, constant noise. Black-and-white ideologies pulled at the peace she so desperately longed to find.

So, she retreated to a quiet studio, where the warm breath of a husky rested at her feet. Deep woods and dark tones wrapped around her as soft music drifted through her headphones, gently silencing the chaos beyond the walls.

There, black met white, giving way to countless shades of gray. Layer upon layer, each stroke blended into quiet harmony.

It was the same lesson life had been teaching her all along: beauty is rarely found in extremes. It lives in the subtle moments—a quiet pause, a distant gaze toward the horizon, the gentle rhythm of breath, and the simple gratitude of being alive.

In the stillness, she discovered what the noise could never offer: peace.

My name is Maggie. I'm an anesthetist by day, a self-taught artist, and living proof that beauty can grow from life's hardest seasons.

After a horse accident turned my life upside down, I found myself searching for something that could transform the chaos into calm.

The repetitive rhythm of graphite and charcoal became more than an artistic process, it became therapy. Every layer, every blended shadow, every tiny detail brought a sense of calm to an overstimulated mind. In a season marked by uncertainty, art became a place of peace, hope, and healing.

Creating has changed the way I experience the world. It has taught me to slow down, to notice the details I once rushed past, and to find beauty in the quiet moments we so easily overlook.

That is the heart behind my work.

My hope is that these pieces do more than fill a wall. I hope they invite you to pause. To breathe. To become fully present, if only for a moment. I hope they spark emotion, conversation, reflection, or perhaps simply offer a small moment of stillness in a world that often moves too fast
